#TBT to My time in the White Mountains with Backcountry YogaThursday, April 07, 2016Pioneers of Wonderland
Last summer, I was lucky enough to be invited by Backcountry Yoga Founder, Laura Loewy, to document her and her crew's first Big Mountain Weekend Retreat in the White Mountains. Together, completely off the grid, we hiked three peaks (Wild Cat, Carter Dome, and Mt Height), practiced yoga under the stars, kept company in the Carter Notch huts, broke physical & mental barriers, and created a handful of bad ass memories.
It's difficult to put into words how and why this trip completely changed my life. All I can say is that I entered these mountains with strangers not knowing who I was or what I wanted to be & left with a close group of friends feeling Rejuvenated, Empowered, and Aware. This moment in time truly was my clarity.
